Michael Hoffmann is a Maine-based composer, pianist, arranger, sound designer, and performer. Originally a self-taught pianist, he later received classical training at the University of Southern Maine, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Music with high honors. During his time at the University of Southern Maine’s School of Music, he wrote and performed music with the USM Composer’s Ensemble.
In addition to his work scoring games like Brain + Brawn, he frequently arranges game music and performs as a member of the Materia Collective. Michael is also a member of the Game Audio Network Guild, participating in events like the G.A.N.G. Awards to help recognize achievements in the game audio field. When not working on music, he enjoys hiking, reading, and of course playing video games.
